When billing for retrograde small intestinal endoscopy by double balloon scope, what is the proper CPT code to use for the two examples listed?
Example 1: Retrograde approach advanced to the terminal ileum and goes no further with examining the colon along way would you use a colonoscopy code, 45378 or an unlisted code 44799 or would you code both.
Example 2: Are 44799 and 45378 the appropriate codes if the scope is advanced through to the distal ileum / jejunum for a retrograde approach if the colon is visualized only
