Hi everyone, I need help! I work in an Ophthalmology clinic. We had a 74 year old female who had come into the office for her monthly intravitreal Eylea injection. Her right eye was injected first and during injecting of the left eye, the doctor noted a large air bubble in the syringe thus giving only half a dose of the billable drug. To give the recommended dose of 2mg, the remaining dose was supplied by a sample. Normally for a bilateral Eylea injection I would code as:
J0178 -RT, LT 4 units
67028 -50
However, in this case although I am sure that billing the 4 units would not be correct, I an not sure on how to go forward. Can anyone help on how I should be coding this.
Thank you
