Jan. 2010-Current Pediatric & Adolescent Clinic, Inc.-Billing/Coding
I am currently working full-time from a remote location for this clinic. It is crucial for me to be reliable, a self-starter, and maintain patient confidentiality. Job responsibilities vary from creating superbills and submitting claims to insurance companies, to collecting payments and other remittance from insurance companies and then billing patients for any remaining balance. Also, responsible for the daily accounts receivable reports, patient collections, and typing letters to insurance companies.
Feb. 2007-Oct. 2009 Uinta Family Practice-Medical Assistant
Job duties mainly consisted of assisting the physician with minor procedures, checking in patients for visits, administering vaccines and other injections, chart documentation, giving medical advice when necessary and assisting the front office when needed. This is also where I learned the basics of using the ICD-9 codes.
