Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Can someone please help me with coding pelvic angiography? I don't know why, but I'm getting caught up on this one. I don't need to code the cath placements because they went on to do an atherectomy.

Under ultrasound guidance, after achieving
local anesthesia with 1 percent lidocaine, the right common femoral artery
was accessed in retrograde fashion. Over a guidewire a 4 French sheath was
inserted followed by placement of a 4 French Omni Flush catheter placed in
the distal abdominal aorta. Pelvic angiography was performed. The
catheter was advanced across the aortic bifurcation into the left external
iliac artery. With the catheter in this position a left femoral runoff
angiogram was performed, with images obtained in the AP projection from
the groin to the left calf. Left lateral foot examination was performed.
There is multilevel disease, including the left common iliac artery, distal
left SFA, and popliteal artery. Endovascular intervention elected.

Would I code 75716 for the pelvic angiography, and 75774 for the femoral runoff angiogram?

Thank you for your input!

I believe your codes are correct. Since the catheter was advanced to the external iliac artery to get the femoral run-off images you should be able to code 75774 for that.
