PLEASE HELP!
We have teaching physicians. I am trying to tell them they must dictate "they were physically present...blah..blah..blah...
Medicare guidelines state "if both the resident and the teaching physician use only macros, this is considered insufficient documentation"
My doc feels because it says "if both use macros" he can use macro stating "he was physically present" because then "both" are not using macros only one of them is.
Can anyone tell me how your office handles residents/teaching physician dictation, and what do your teaching physicians "say"
Thank you for any help!!
