My doctor sees patients in a rehab facility and bills hospital codes and pos 21for the detox portion of the program and then then patient shifts to partial hospitalization (pos 52). Now he says there is another level called Residential. Does anyone know how to bill for this? What POS to use? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance! Lori
 
SA Facility Biller

Hi,

Use bill type 111 and rev code 129 for substance abuse diagnosis or 128 if mental health dx
POS 55 facility
If billing to UBH/VAlue Options or Amerihealth they want rev codes 1002 SA and 1003 MH
