No incision was made on right side and tube removed & replaced. granulation tissue and polyp was removed from the left as well as old tube & replacement of tube.
how would the replacement of the tubes be reported?
since no incisions were made, myringtomy with tubes-69436 would not be approriate,
unless modifier "52" was used, to indicate service reduced.
or is an unlisted code 69799 correct. general anesthesia was used.
this is for hospital surgical coding.
anyone out there ever had this to code?
