Hello, I have a Physician that is wanting to bill for the removal of bilateral nephrostomy tubes
with replacement of bilateral ureteral stents..
in addition to Cystolitholapaxy and ESWL 2 stones on one side ... one located in the Renal pelvis and
one located in the ureter.. ( I know the ESWL can only be billed as 1 cpt code 50590 regardless of how many
or location of the 2 stones on the same side).
But I am wondering if I can bill for the removal of the nephrostomy tubes along with the insertion
of the Bilateral Ureteral stents.

I do not see any reason why you can't bill all of these codes. Whether they are retrograde or perc. they do not bundle.
