The office that I work with is wanting to know the correct stance on compression devices and pressure wraps. Our stance has been that the payment of the device and the pressure wraps should be included in the payment to the surgical center and the surgical center pays the DME company for the rental and supply. We are getting a lot of push back from these DME companies with appeals and claim petitions. We want to know if we are correct in denying theses bills and if there is any type of guidance pertaining to the reimbursement either thru the AMA, CMS or AAPC. Hope someone can help. Thank you
