There are changes for debridements services which will affect my practice. My concern would be if the 11043 and 11044 indeed have a 90 day global period (which I have no edvidence).
if we have a complex patient that we evaluate and then manage but have debridement as part of the management, can we just bill an em code.
another concern is the use of modifers for a 90 day procedure in the situation above would require the 57 modifier for EM and procedure??? or could we continue to use 25 modifier ???
With the major cut in payments we are trying to find ways to maximaize our reimbursement
