Hi guys!

I'm currently wondering how your practice/hospital handles refunds? Do they just mail a check to the last known address or do they try to contact the patient first? I'm in a constantly growing practice, and I want to find a solution that isn't time consuming but still safe for us and the patients.

At our practice, we mail the refund. We only attempt to contact the patient if the refund check is returned.

We always try contacting the patient is all cases. We have numerous times in which patients move without alerting the practice of their new location. I believe this is the best practice so you can be assured the monies are going to the correct person.
