Hello,

Can anyone tell me if you give a higher level if referring a patient to another doctor? We came up with a Level 3 and they think it should be higher due to referring to another doctor.

our internal policy is that a referral to another provider is a moderate level management option, but may not necessarily be moderate risk, depending on other factors. (such as high diagnostic procedures).
