I use so many reference books daily; I am curious if anyone could share with me what reference book they feel would be the most useful tool when sitting for the CEMC examination (outside of the CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9, and '95 &'97 guidelines)?

Thanks!

Nothing more needed

In my opinion you do not need ANY reference book for the CEMC exam. You DO need both 1995 and 1997 guidelines and audit tools in addition to the CPC, ICD-9, and HCPCS manuals.

I agree with Tessa; when I took the CEMC I was all hyper about what was the best reference book to take, I don't even remember what I ended up taking but I do remember never using it?

If you have your 95 & 97 guidelines and tools, you'll be just fine, in my opinion.

Good luck!
