I work for a doctor that is closing their practice, are they required to keep records that they have requested and received from other doctors participating in the patient's care? Or can they shred that portion of the patient's chart?

I would not shred any part of a patient's chart until the time limit for keeping the entire chart has expired. But check with your malpractice insurance company for the best direction on storage of patient charts.
