What CPT code do you get for this procedure? MD wants to use 21188-but this code is for IP only procedure?
Combined reconstruction with implant and repair of the left midface via endoscopic and open approach
We removed sharp edges of bone and unhealthy bone that was in the area of the previous implant through the sublabial incision. This included bone of the around the medial buttress. We identified the V2 nerve and preserved this The area required augmentation to not have the soft tissue sink into the sinus which had no anterior maxillary wall. We elevated the midface packet of soft tissue entirely off the bone and preserved the blood supply from the angular artery and superiorly- this packet was preserved and V2 was preserved going into the midface flap.
