I need help on this one please. Dr. did a lap ventral hernia repair in the am, then patient developed a intra-abdominal bleed. So the same day he went back in. This is how the op note reads. Exploration and reclosure of prior placement of hernia mesh. Trocar sites were reopened, ports were placed. The mesh was opened in the mid aspect. The hernia sac was compressed which caused a rush of blood. Once this was decompressed it did not seem to reaccumulated. A piece of mesh was them placed over the slit area, ant it was tacked down. Then turned to the prior adhesions that had been lysed which were mainly omentum in the abdomen. Any raw area or small hematoma was grasped. There was area that once the hematoma was wirrigated off there appeared to be some bright red ooze. This was suture ligated witrh a 0 PDS Ednoloop.This was applied to zeveral pedicles. Irrigated and aspirated . Then closed. Any ideas ?
