Hi,
We have a provider, Dr. A that has left the practice as of 02/17/15. For the time period 02/02/15-02/17/15. We hired a locum tenens provider, Dr. B, and will begin billing with the Q6 on 02/18/15.
My question is for the time period 02/02-02/17. Dr.A and Dr. B will share Dr. A's schedule b/c the regular provider (Dr. A) was winding down and technically unavailable to see her patients. Can we bill with Dr. A and B using the Q5 modifier? I feel as this is ok since Dr. A is unabvailable to provide the services.
