PLEASE HELP!!!

Procedure Performed: Lap Cholecystectomy with an Intraoperative Cholangiogram

On day of surgery the surgeon performs real time interpretation and is trying to bill 74300. The next day the Radiologist reviews and interprets he also is billing the 74300 (the Pro and tech fee).

Can both the Surgeon and Radiologist bill the same Procedure code 74300?

Thank you for your help!

No, I am sure the Radiologist is contracted by hospital, surgical center whatever, to read all radio logic exams performed. I worked for a group and they read everything. Did you surgeon actullay dictate a report for it?

Yes, within the doctors operative report he does. He basically says the same thing that the radiologist does on the day after the procedure. So we are trying to figure out who would get the credit for 74300?
