A patient of ours made an appt as instructed by her dentist office. She was having dental work done and the hygentist was stuck with a needle during the visit. Patient was instructed to get labs HIV & Hep B. What diagnosis do I use for the vist/labs? & wouldn't this be the responsiblility of the dentist office to pay and not the patient's insurance?

I think a screening code would be appropriate since the patient wasn't injured and has no signs or symptoms. I also think that the Dentist's insurance would be responsible for the charges since they are the cause of the medical visit.
