Wiki Question on Correct Coding of 73130

Hi,

Scenario: Patient has pain in both hands, a x-ray on hands is completed. There only 3 images - both hands are in each view.

How should this be coded:

73130 RT,LT

or

73130 RT
73130 LT

This is what I do

This may not be accurate and someone can correct me but I bill out the number of views taken. Period. It seems unethical to do otherwise.

Some views may include both hands or knees, but I total the number of views and bill that way
