Code states; second through 14 lesions, each
List separately in addition to code for first lesion.

In the begining of my course I was told that this code was only reported once for the next 2-14 lesions. Then when it was a practice test question I was told different. I wrote a note in my CPT book....but I want to make sure I am right,

thanks

Just so you don't get tripped up

17003---Destruction (eg, laser surgery, electrosurgery, cryosurgery, chemosurgery, surgical curettement), premalignant lesions (eg, actinic keratoses); second through 14 lesions, each (List separately in addition to code for first lesion

17004 --Destruction (eg, laser surgery, electrosurgery, cryosurgery, chemosurgery, surgical curettement), premalignant lesions (eg, actinic keratoses), 15 or more lesions

So lets say you have..........
13 lesions, you would code 17000 for the 1st lesion and 17003 for each lesion 2-14. So you would end up with 17000 x1 and 17003 x 12 units

But for 20 lesions, all that you would code is 17004
