Is it possible to code a push enteroscopy with esophageal balloon dilation?
The gastroscope was inserted into the mouth and advanced under direct vision to the proximal jejunum.* A careful inspection was made as the gastroscope was withdrawn, including a retroflexed view of the proximal stomach; findings and interventions are described below. Appropriate photodocumentation was obtained.
Findings:
· Schatzki's Ring in distal esophagus.* Esophageal dilation with TTS balloon dilator to 19 mm, followed by 20 mm each for 60 seconds was performed.
· Normal gastric mucosa.
· Normal duodenum.
· Scope was advanced into the jejunum and secretions aspirated.* About 5 mL of aspiration was collected and is being sent to pathology to analyze for biliary crystals.
I'm not sure which code/codes I should use for this procedure. Any feedback is appreciated.
