I was informed in our office that CPT code 94761 could not be used unless performed in a physicians office Place of service 11. Our patients are having their heart rate and oxygen monitored several times during rest, then 6 min of excercise then after again. This is being done in an outpatient hospital place of service, in the Pulmonary Function Lab. We can not use CPT code 94620 because we are not performing pre and post spirometrys. Does anyone know for sure we can not use the 94761 outside of a Dr. Office and if so, what code do we use for these oxygen tests? Thanks!
