IF a PT/OT provides education on orthotics, is there an appropriate way to bill for the education time under a specific CPT code?
Example: PT/OT may educate patient on either the need for orthotics for the feet or my suggestions on them. Education on bracing for the back, ankles, knees, etc.
What CPT code is utilized when a PT/OT assists patient with an ortho brought in by the patient?
Example: Once patient purchases ortho on their own, PT/OT will fit them correctly to the patient and educate on use. Ortho isn't issued by the clinic rather the patient is purchasing them on their own utilizing PT/OT suggestions from previous conversations
