Psychotherapy Less than 16min
Hi,
I am not a behavioral health coder and I am learning to be one. Is there a way to bill for psychotherapy visit less than 16 min? It is my understanding it requires at least 16 mins in order qualify to bill 90832. To clarify, this is for Article 28 setting (non-OMH clinic).

you would not be able to bill for less than 16 minutes of psychotherapy.
16 min minimum is required.
90832 16-37 min
90834 38-52 min
90847 53 min or over
99354 prolonged services (ex: 120 min therapy, 90837 for first 60 min & 99354 for the additional hour
