Good afternoon, all,
We are a pain management practice who employees a LCSW in our practice, so this billing is new to our practice. She basically uses 90791 (Psych Eval), 90837 (Psychotherapy) and 96152 (H&B intervention). This may be a silly question, but we want to be sure we are billing correctly. Could a patient be seen on a visit and receive psychotherapy services and be seen on the next visit for H&B intervention services? I could not find anything that indicated we could not. Just need some reassurance or guidance.

did you ever find an answer to this? From what I have read in our Anthem contract you may bill both types, just not on the same day. Or were you asking more about having an evaluation (90791) and than proceeding to use 96152 as a part of the treatment plan?
