Hi All,
I could use some insight. Our physicians do rounds at SNF facilities and do some Inpatient rounds and hospitals as well. They are not doing psychotherapy sessions, they are reviewing the whole chart and initially evaluating to see if patient is depressed or having manic episodes, etc.. then if their services are needed they are following up with the patient daily or a couple times a week while they are in that facility, every time they see them they are reviewing the whole medical chart and making adjustments if needed. I am suggesting 90792 for initial visit and in the SNF facilities 99307-99310. For Inpatient the 99221-99233. Are there other codes out there that I am missing (I know there are add on codes for psychotherapy when applicable)? Some of my providers are insisting there are other codes but I'm new to this specialty of coding and am wondering if I am missing something... Thank you for any advice!!
