Most payers do not pay for PRP's. If the patient has Insurance and we perform a PRP, do you have to submit the PRP procedure to the Insurance, receive the rejection before we have the patient self pay? Or can we just have the patient self pay and not even bother submitting the claim?

We have a form that notifies the patient that the PRP is not covered by their insurance and how much they will be responsible for on payment of this procedure.

When the patient weighs the difference of not having this done they don't mind paying the price.
