Sheridan Healthcorp, Inc., one of the most experienced and successful Healthcare Management companies in Florida, has several opportunities for Physician and Provider Education Specialists with experience in Anesthesia or Emergency Department and Neonatology specialty practices. These positions are Sunrise, FL / Corporate based with the opportunity to travel up to 50% throughout primarily FL; but also to several locations in GA and MO.

Provider Education Specialists assist the Director with documentation reviews, follow up on coding and compliance review results, and are involved in the development of coding efficiency focused educational materials based upon those reviews for our providers throughout FL, with several additional locations in GA and MO. The two roles are separate; one will focus on our Anesthesia facilities and the other on our Emergency Department and Neonatology specialty practices and facilities.

Responsibilities will include training and educating all levels of Physicians and Providers in accurate coding documentation practices, sharing results from reimbursement reports and any national or internal educational initiatives.

Qualified candidates must have the following experience in order to be considered:
? Two or more years in Anesthesia, Emergency Department &/or Neonatology coding; a background in medical collections is beneficial
? Two or more years of experience in Provider Education is preferred
? Knowledge of medical coding as well as solid background in medical terminology
? Knowledge of quality reporting initiatives is beneficial
? Strong attention to detail
? Solid presentation skills are a MUST: this includes both outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to interact and engage with physicians in an educational yet professional setting
? Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
? Able to travel up to 50% (85% of that will be through FL; the rest will include overnight trips to GA and MO)

Education/Experience:
? Associate's Degree and 4 or more years of related health care experience; or Bachelor's Degree and 2 or more years of related health care experience; or equivalent combination of education and related health care experience
? Coding Certification from a nationally recognized organization (i.e., CPC, CCS-P, CIRCC, RCC and/or other National Coding Certifications) that requires annual CEU's to maintain certification
