Wiki Prolonged Physician Services Billed

Can a provider bill for prolonged physician services (99354 - 99357) for multiple patients concurrently on the same date of service? If so, how many hours can be billed within a 24 hour period and/or how many patients can be seen within the 24 period?

I am unsure of your actual question. If you are asking if the prolonged codes can be billed for more than one person then the answer is yes, but each prolong code billed belongs to the time associated with that one patient . How many can you have in a 24 hour period?... not more than 24 hours for sure. But if you office hours are say an 8 hour day then if you account for lunch and time between patients then say 6 hours of patient care a day total, so if you had say a 60 minute visit that meets the criteria for a level 99214 then you would have time to bill 6 patients in that day if they all meet this criteria. It is not based on a 24 hour day but based on the stated time your policy states the provider is in the office.
