I understand you cannot bill an pre-op visit with a colonoscopy unless the patient is at risk with other conditions such as copd, diabetes or they are having some sort of symptoms rectal bleeding etc.
My question is: if the patient has a history of polyps or has a family history of colon cancer does this warrant a billable pre-op visit?
Thanks in advance for the input.
