If a patient delivers at 36 weeks’ gestation and also has premature rupture of membranes, are we required to code both PROM and preterm delivery? Since “preterm” is inherent in the wording at O42.01– and O42.11– do we also have to code O60.– Preterm labor and delivery?

Hi, yes if delivery occurs on the same session we can code O60 aswell.
