Wiki Ppd & administration

I have seen alot of posts regarding the PPD 86580 and administration of the test 90471. I understand from the posts that you cannot bill the admin with the PPD but the insurance companies are paying for both. If it is not covered together why are they paying? I don't want to lose revenue but want to make sure I follow the rules. Can anyone offer any insight so I may better understand this situation? Thanks so much!

the 90471 is for administration of vaccines and immunizations. The PPD is neitherof these, therefore it is inappropriate to report this code all you use is the 86580 code which includes the administration.
