Patient admitted for surgery. They are followed by Internal medicine managing their chronic conditions, such as CKD,DM,COPD or HTN. Would the internal Med group bill for post operative care (global) or would they bill for an E & M payable level?:

They would bill E/M services, they do not need any modifiers if their services are not related to the surgery.
