What is the correct POS for pre-op labs? The pre-op labs charges would be billed on CMS-1500 for professional component billing. I can only find clear answers for the POS for pre-op labs if it's billed on an UB-04. Just to give an example; the patient has pre-op's and later that week has surgery with other inpatient labs. Should I bill this as two different claims or one claim with two different POS? Or all on one claim with POS-21?
