I am just getting my feet wet with interventional radiology, trying to broaden my scope of knowledge.
I am looking at some audits our company is doing and am confused. 36569 vs 36571, I know the only difference is 36571 includes the port. I personally have had a port,so I am familiar with them. My question is does the documentation always say with port? I am finding notes that say power injectable PICC line.
I need to differentiate between the two procedures based on documentation and the more I read, the more confused I get. The notes say the power injectable PICC line was introduced. I am just lost, does that mean it was a port?
