Wiki port-a-cath multiple attempts

Dr placed a Port-A-Cath but met with resistance on his first try. He removed everything and accessed the vein again and was able to place the catheter.

Do you bill modifier 22 when this happens? Or is it just part of the original code?

Was it 36591? You may want to attach modifier 53 or the global period will begin on the date of surgery.
