Hello all!
We recently acquired a DPM at our Orthopedic clinic. None of us have any experience with the wonderful art of coding for Podiatry.
Anyone from Washington State who has any insight on billing CHPW and actually getting paid for fracture care? We aren't having issues with any other payer.
I have found that their table of "Allowable Conditions of the Lower Extremities by Diagnosis" is significantly lacking in codes, all of the fracture diagnoses are for malunion only.
Not to mention the fact that they don't even have arthritis of the ankle/foot listed!
Any help or input is appreciated!
