Doctor listed patient as "non-ambulatory" due to hip contusion. Custodial Care Facility patient, the only information indicated is hip contusion/non-ambulatory - not sure what code to use for non-ambulatory.
As described, I would use 719.7 Difficulty, walking for the non-ambulatory state as a secondary code to the 924.01 Contusion, hip.
If the provider stated somewhere in the note that the patient was confined to wheelchair, I would use V46.3 Dependence, on, wheelchair as the secondary code.
