So I bill for a Travel Clinic where to do checkups and give vaccinations before people travel abroad. They do evaluate the patient, and they want to be able to bill for that, as well as the vaccinations given. They do NOT do an exam, they also do not document their time. Because of this, I am not able to use 99201-99205. I have been told to use 99420 or 99429, whichever one will work. The 99420 seems to get paid more often, however I am still getting denials from our follow up team, and I don't know what else I can do. They are wanting to write them off, but then we are losing money for my doctors!! Does anyone have any suggestions????
