Physician documents as final diagnosis 1. non-ST elevated myocardial infarction
2. acute coronary artery obstruction without myocardial infarction.
What would be the correct codes in this case as #2 diagnosis states without MI and #1 diagnosis is definitely documented as a myocardial infarction.
Would it be best to clarify the two diagnosis codes with the physician as they seem to be conflicting?
Thank you for any help.
