Our manager said that medicare is taking off some money and it will continue till ICD10. Is this true?
The medicare explanation is, adjustment code for mandated federal, state or local law regulation that is not already covered by another code and is mandated before a new code can be created.

What exactly are the adjustment and remark codes on the RA?

Is it possible the reduced payments are the 2% deduction applied by CMS because of the sequester?????

The remark code is basically meaningless it is the sequestration adjustment and that is the remark code they chose to go with it.

How are you posting these adjustments? Our PM is automatically adding them in with the CO-45 adjustments but if you have a check (eg from Humana Gold Choice, Healthspring, etc) that is manually posted it's separate. Should we be adding this in or posting as a separate adjustment?
