Wiki Please help injection into spine

i am brand new ortho coder and the doctor is using cpt code 20610 for the spine. he will not change the code. the office manager wants me to use unspecied code of OA when the diagnosis DJD of the cervical or lumber spine is clearly written in the documentation. She feels the DJD of the spine will no get paid. i hope i have clearly explained this.

I work for an orthopedic practice that also injects the spine. You must find out if the doctor actually performed the injection into the joint ,muscle,tendon, nerves or facet. Spinal pain management codes are located in the nervous section of cpt rather then surgery section.
