I have 4+ years experience in ED coding (and some ortho) but have been a full-time stay-at-home mom in the last 6+ years. With the kids now at school, I have joined many (new & experienced) coders here looking for a job. I find some posts discouraging (I'm not complaining about the posters, please!), but more because of how it "looks" out there in the job market.

In saying that, can anyone kindly advise me on how to proceed in applying for jobs? My certification is current but I most likely need to catch up on coding updates, especially ED. What's the best way to get hired in my situation (other than relentlessly trying & applying :)?

Thanks so much!
Best wishes to all!
