I have a place of service question for anyone who is able to help.

We have a provider who is looking to spend one day a month at another clinic's facility and we will be renting the office space. We have no affiliations with this clinic and our office will being doing the billing.

Should we code the place of service as 11(Office) or 49(Independent Clinic)?
 
This is POS 11. You are renting office space, so basically that space (the time you are there) is simply another office location for you. You should update your provider enrollment information with participating insurance carriers for the additional location.
 
Yes it is still an 11 POS but the service address must be the address of the new location and not the billing address so yes you will need to update your credentialing.
