I have a physician that writes orders for transfusions, infusions, chemo and the patient then has these procedures at the hospital.
Often the hospital will call over to the office with questions or requesting adjustments, reaction issues, etc to the order while the patient is there being treated.
The doctor can spend a bit of time on the phone working on these patients. His question to me is how does he get paid to cover his time in making adjustments to orders he has written? He is not actually seeing the patient just speaking with the hospital to direct the care.
Any input would be greatly appreciated-Lori
