Wiki Physician certification of home health plan of care

Just started to bill for certification and recertification of home health plan of care. My question is when do I bill for the charges G0180 or G0179? Example: Certificate is valid for 5-29-13 to 7-27-13, do I bill after the 7-27-13 or when the certificate is initiated on 5-29-13?

HHC plan

I use the start date of the certification period. I also look at the State of Care Date, to make sure I sure charge out G0180 or if G0179. If the dates are different, then I look to make sure it has been 60 days since the last HHC plan was charged out.

I have the same issue; So I will bill for G0180 and use the start date as the date of service for billing purposes? Should I make a new claim for this in our billing software?
