We have a physician owned lab and there is a question regarding billing for specific lab procedures. Hoping you can assist or point us in the right direction.
Pap smears with normal results are not read by the pathologist. The cytologist makes the determination that the results are normal.
In these cases, should we be billing under the supervising pathologist that was on site that day or are we able to bill under the medical director?
