Hi, trying to find more supporting guidelines for billing these two PT services together. Any suggestions beyond the (GP) modifier's.

Commercial - 97014/2056-
Medicare - G0283/2056-
 
Hi There Jessica,
The modifiers related to phy therapy can be GN, GO, GP, RT or LT if extremities and some payers want modifier 96 and 97 if new or ongoing phys therapy. Needling CPT codes I have are 97760-97763. Do not bill CPT 97124 or CPT 97140 same time. Add referring doctor to claim and some payers want earlier dates if ongoing phys therapy same problem or when it started.
