Wiki Phone visit ?

One of our providers had a phone only visit (no video) on 3/25 and documented time spent on the call 25 minutes, patient then came in to the office on 3/27 ..is the phone call still a billable service ?

I have read so many different things, I'm just not sure at this point ?

Hi Rebecca,
The code description for 99441-99443 states "not originating from an e/m service within previous 7 days nor leading to an e/m service or procedure within the next 24 hours or soonest available appointment". So to me it would seem to depend on whether the 3/27 appointment was due to or scheduled because of the reason for the telephone call. If the appointment was for the same reason as the call, then probably not. That's just my impression based on the code description.
